“In 1867 Challenge Cutlery trademark was used by B.J. Eyre Company
of Sheffield which was purchased in 1877 by Frederick Wiebusch
Company with the “Challenge” trademark.
In 1899 after several changes
in ownership the company became Challenge Cutlery Company.”
