Cherry wood
joined by a bridle joint.  The handle is 2

I make these squares to be used at my desk to draw plans for projects and I also keep them at my work bench to use while wood working.  They also are great for the person that works on crafts since they are so light and handy.  Metal squares are usually too big or heavy and are awkward, but these are very light and user friendly.
The black metal square is just for a reference and not included.
