An EXTRA CLEAN "TOPP'S FRAMING TOOL" COMBINATION SQUARE as produced by G.A. Topp & Company, Indianapolis, Indiana. The blade of this tool is imprinted with all manner of tables for calculating the appropriate angles at which to cut the ends of rafters for roof framing. The tool was patented on November 1, 1889 by Thomas R. Cook of Irvington, Indiana, with rights assigned to George A. Topp and two others. All of the original etching is clear and legible.
