Vintage| Craftsman Sliding T-Bevel Wood & Brass Early Collectible

Description

This is a very early CRAFTSMAN tool in used but not abused condition, as pictured.
The bent thumb lock may or may not have been an original feature. It's debatable.
I did a Google photo search and found another t-bevel like this with the exact same bend.
But the lever does have what appears to be plier-jaw marks.
I cleaned the CRAFTSMAN logo on the blade with 400 grit wet/dry paper so it would show better in the listing photos.
Otherwise, this tool is as I found it at an estate sale.
The blade is 8" long.
